Harvest India traces its roots back to the year 1993 when God through different situations and circumstances prodded Pastor Samuel Jacob to start it. Over the years, this prodding has been reaffirmed repeatedly. Pastor Jacob coming from a non-Christian background, and being a native of Karnataka was burdened to minister to his own people as he realized that though Karnataka has 2% Christian population, and although Bangalore boasts of having more than 400 Christian organizations, very few are focused on reaching the local Kannadigas.
Over the past thirteen years, Harvest India has maintained its focus by working alongside Churches, organizations and like-minded individual believers who have a common burden to reach the unreached Kannadigas. ... read more |

Harvest India started an orphanage with the sole purpose of educating orphaned children both in the worldly context and in Gods Word. It had a humble beginning with six children in the year 2004. The kids are brought in by word of mouth or by reference from different parts of Karnataka irrespective of their backgrounds.
The kids learn to apply Gods Word in their daily lives and are taught to fear God. They are given a good education in the same school. They are given education at par with Pr. Jacobs own kids. There are bible ... read more |
